However, the doctor has confirmed that it is not blocking my fallopian tubes and should not effect my chances of getting pregnant. I have been trying for a pregnancy for the past 6 months and at one point I discovered that I was 4 weeks pregnant until suddenly I started my period which was a lot heavier than usual. The doctor confirmed that I had a very early miscarriage, but assured me it had nothing to do with the fibroid and that it was a 'chemical pregnancy' (the embryo failed to attach to the womb). I was also told to keep trying and if nothing happens then I should go back after a year. There was no mention of further tests or anything and the whole experience has left me confused, worried and frustrated!
